A. The OHCF was formed in 1993 to connect the passions of donors with growing patient and hospital needs. OHCF is committed to securing contributions that promote, encourage and assist the improvement and expansion of quality healthcare at Olathe Medical Center, Miami County Medical Center and Olathe Health Physicians, Inc.

Q. Who manages the OHCF?
A. An independent board of directors comprised of community leaders leads the OHCF. A professional staff of three manages the day-to-day operations of the OHCF. It is the combined responsibility and privilege of the board and foundation staff to act as good stewards of donor generosity.

Q. Is the OHCF tax exempt?
A. Yes. The OHCF has a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS as a tax-exempt organization. All gifts to the OHCF are tax-deductible, as allowed by law.

Q. What does the OHCF support?
A. Each year, our Leadership Team reviews the most immediate needs of Olathe Health and guides the OHCF's current Funding Priorities.

Q. How does donating to the OHCF enhance healthcare in our communities?
A. Since its formation in 1993, the OHCF has distributed over $23 million in charitable contributions to support vital hospital programs, services and expansions that serve individuals and families throughout Johnson, Miami, Lynn and Franklin counties. Every year, these counties, among others, benefit from all of our Olathe Health hospitals and clinics as we continue to provide quality healthcare services and specialties.

Q. How can I show appreciation to a caregiver, doctor or nurse at Olathe Health?
A. You can make a donation in honor of your caregiver, doctor, nurse or an entire group or floor of people who cared for you at Olathe Health. We will let them know you've chosen to show your gratitude for their services with a generous donation to the OHCF. Simply note this desire when making a donation.

Q. Can I make a planned gift?
A. Yes. The OHCF gratefully accepts life-income gifts and bequests, as well as gifts of assets transferred to us or trusts in exchange for current income.
