Course Objectives:  Upon completion of this course, the active learner will:·

  • Demonstrate the ability to teach patient about effects of two common anti-depressive medications on the fetus and breast milk production.
  • Describe non-pharmaceutical therapies used to treat perinatal mood disorders.
  • Identify at least three community resources for patient referral regarding perinatal mood disorders.

Olathe Medical Center Education Department is approved as a provider of continuing nursing education by the Kansas State Board of Nursing.
