Olathe Health Cardiology Services is excited to welcome the newest addition to its staff, Dr. Ravi Yarlagadda, an interventional cardiac electrophysiologist. He brings extensive training and experience to Olathe Health Cardiology Services and the medical staff at Olathe Medical Center (OMC), where he will care for patients with heart rhythm disorders. His areas of expertise include performing complex ablations, implanting cardiac pacemakers and defibrillators, and extracting chronic pacemaker leads with laser technology. He is board certified in electrophysiology, cardiovascular disease, critical care medicine and internal medicine.
Prior to joining OMC, Dr. Yarlagadda was an attending cardiac electrophysiologist at Hartford Hospital, a major academic medical center affiliated with the University of Connecticut. He completed a fellowship in electrophysiology at Cornell University Medical Center, a cardiology fellowship at Hartford Hospital/University of Connecticut, and a fellowship in critical care medicine at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City. Dr. Yarlagadda completed his internal medicine residency at Michigan State University, and earned his medical degree from the University of Health Sciences in India.
Dr. Yarlagadda aims to treat each patient as an individual deserving of specialized attention to their unique heart rhythms, diagnosis and treatment options. His dedication to compassionate patient care extends far beyond the greater Kansas City metropolitan area. Twice a year, Dr. Yarlagadda travels to Southern India for humanitarian missions where he provides his medical services free of charge and implants donated cardiac devices in needy patients.
