Congratulations to Cindy Moore, RN, BSN, from Ground West at Miami County Medical Center (MCMC)!
After working in IT for 20 years, Cindy made the jump to become a nurse and has excelled since then. She is the only certified wound ostomy nurse at MCMC and uses her own experience as a wound care patient to assist and educate other patients. She is a P.A.C.E. Level III recipient – the highest level of professional achievement for nurses at Olathe Health, is an IT super user who teaches other nurses about technology updates, and has developed communication tools to improve interaction between patients and nurses. Plus, she is often recognized by patients for her great care and attention to detail.
“Cindy is an exemplary associate and far exceeds the outstanding associate qualifications,” Heather Schreppel, RN, BSN, manager of inpatient nursing and care coordination at MCMC, said. “She is a leader, mentor, and is highly respected among her teammates. She is a patient advocate, is eager to learn and is an asset to the Ground West team. I am extremely proud of Cindy and she greatly deserves this recognition.”
Cindy has been with MCMC, working in her hometown of Paola, for almost 15 years. Her coworkers say she often states how proud she is to work at Olathe Health. Cindy – Olathe Health is honored to work with you.
The Outstanding Associate award recognizes associates throughout Olathe Health who are role models of the Olathe Health mission and values, help progress their departments and the whole organization, and provide exceptional experiences for patients and visitors. Six Outstanding Associates are chosen annually. One of these recipients is chosen by senior leadership for the prestigious Frank H. Devocelle Legacy Award.
