OMC Earns High Performing Ratings for 2021-2022
Olathe Medical Center was recognized by U.S. News & World Report for its high performing ratings in the following areas of patient care: Kidney Failure, Stroke, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease and Heart Failure.
For the 2021-2022 report, U.S. News & World Report evaluated 4,300 hospitals for 17 commonly encountered procedures and conditions. Of the thousands assessed, only 2,000 hospitals earned at least one high performing rating. A high performing rating indicates a hospital was significantly better than the national average in a given procedure or condition.
“These ratings, in combination with OMC’s 4-Star Rating from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, reflect our providers’ and associates’ obsession with quality, safety and service and commitment to helping people through healing, health and happiness,” Stan Holm, CHFP, FACHE, President/CEO of Olathe Health, said. “To move the needle in patient care during such unprecedented times is remarkable, and I take pride in OMC’s efforts to provide our patients with the care they deserve.”
In addition to earning high performing ratings in the aforementioned areas of patient care, OMC was named a Top 100 Hospital in the nation by Fortune/IBM Watson Health and received the American College of Cardiology’s NCDR Chest Pain – MI Registry Platinum Performance Achievement Award for 2021.
