Congratulations to Joseph Fielder, Jr., Biomed Tech III with Biomedical Engineering!

When Olathe Medical Center experienced a city water main break in 2019, Joseph was instrumental in identifying the cause and working with the city to repair it. His years of experience as a biomedical technician, and his positive attitude have earned him the role as unofficial morale officer for his department. Joseph is always willing to go the extra mile if it means improving patient safety.

“Joseph’s approach to his peers and customers is what makes him uniquely exceptional,” Shawn Turner, director of biomedical engineering, said. “His biggest talent is customer service and team cohesion.”

The Outstanding Associate award recognizes associates throughout Olathe Health who are role models of the Olathe Health mission and values, help progress their departments and the whole organization, and provide exceptional experiences for patients and visitors. Six Outstanding Associates are chosen annually. One of these recipients is chosen by senior leadership for the prestigious Frank H. Devocelle Legacy Award.
