Temporary Visitor Policy During COVID-19 Pandemic
In order to protect our patients and staff from the potential spread of respiratory illness, we are modifying our visitor policy until further notice. Please follow our current guidelines:
- DO NOT enter this facility if you have signs or symptoms of a respiratory illness, such as:
- Fever
- Cough
- Sore throat
- Shortness of breath
- OR, you have had contact with someone who has or is under investigation, for COVID-19 in the last 14 days.
If you have any of these signs or symptoms, please return home and call the Hospice House at 913-324-8588. We’re happy to discuss scheduling a virtual visit with your loved one via the internet. Hospice Volunteer Opportunities
Olathe Health Hospice Care has been operating for more than 30 years, providing services to patients who are facing end-of-life illnesses. Whether you volunteer in our office, at the Hospice House front desk, or directly with patients, you will assist our staff and help them to provide quality care to our patients and their families.
Hospice volunteer opportunities include providing direct patient care, house and office assistance, spiritual care, meals and music and pet therapy.

Hospice House is located on the Olathe Medical Park campus and is readily accessible from I-35 and Lone Elm Road.

Olathe Health has provided hospice services for more than 30 years. We believe the end of life can be a meaningful time for patients and their loved ones. When staying at home at the end of one’s life is not an option, there is a peaceful care alternative-inpatient hospice care at the Hospice House. The home-like environment provides medical and nursing care, plus emotional and spiritual support, not only for the patient, but also family and friends. The Hospice House is dedicated and uniquely equipped to provide modern medicine and compassionate care to terminally ill patients, enabling them and their families to live fully and comfortably while coping with end-of-life illnesses.

- A private and serene environment, inside and out, located at Olathe Medical Park, on the campus of Olathe Medical Center.
- Communal sitting areas, kitchen facilities, flower gardens, screened-in porch and other amenities to ensure a comfortable setting.
- Around-the-clock nursing care.
- Respite care.

The Hospice House relies heavily on community contributions for the ongoing sustainability of services. Donations to the Hospice House may be made in either a lump sum, or pledged over multiple years. If you would like to discuss a donation of stock, insurance policy, land or other assets, or if you are considering a donation via your Will or Estate, please contact the Charitable Foundation at 913-791-4216.
