At the 52nd annual Yuletide Gala, the Olathe Health Charitable Foundation (OHCF) surpassed its goal for the “From the Heart” campaign, raising more than $7.4 million for the OHCF’s largest campaign to date. In addition to the $330,000+ donated throughout the evening, the foundation announced Sam and Connie Perkins’ personal gift of $1 million, which helped OHCF reach its campaign goal more than a year early.

Launched in 2019 and chaired by Terry Kilroy and Harlan C. Parker, the “From the Heart” campaign directly supports four high-impact areas that span the continuum of care, including Surgery Suites and Cardiovascular Care, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Cancer Center and Hospice House.

“The campaign’s success is a testament to the generosity of our community and the thousands who donated,” Rob M. Wyrick, executive director of the OHCF, said. “We are grateful for each and every gift that has helped ensure the resources needed to fulfill our mission – to help people through healing, health and happiness.”

In addition to the funds raised and announced at this year’s gala, the campaign was supported through a number of financial contributions, including a $4 million gift from the Sunderland Foundation and the support of more than 2,900 donors. Despite meeting its initial goal, OHCF will continue to accept campaign gifts through the end of December 2022.
