Olathe Medical Center (OMC) was recognized by U.S. News & World Report for its high-performing ratings in the following areas of patient care: Kidney Failure, Stroke and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease. OMC was among the 36% of United States hospitals to earn an award in U.S. News & World Report’s 2022-2023 Best Hospitals list.

Designed to help patients make informed healthcare decisions, the 2022-2023 report evaluated 4,500 hospitals on 20 common surgical procedures and medical conditions. Of those assessed, only 10 to 20% received a high-performing rating. A high-performing rating demonstrates that a hospital performed significantly better than the national average for a specific procedure or condition.

In addition to this high-performing rating for Stroke, OMC recently received the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association’s Get With The Guidelines®: Stroke GOLD PLUS with Target: Stroke Honor Roll Elite and Target: Type 2 Diabetes℠ Honor Roll, which demonstrates OMC’s ongoing commitment to stroke care.
