About Our Occupational Therapy
Occupational Therapists enable people of all ages to live life to its fullest by helping them promote health, and prevent—or live better with—injury, illness, or disability.
Our therapists, located at clinics in Johnson and Miami counties, work to return their patients to their activities of daily living. They work individually with each patient to address their functional capabilities, goals, hobbies and interests for return to a higher level of function and independent living. Olathe Health Rehabilitation Services has highly-skilled Occupational Therapists with training in Lymphedema, Hand Therapy and Pediatric Therapy.
Common conditions that may require Occupational Therapy are:
- Hand trauma or hand surgery
- After surgical procedures
- Sprains and strains of the arm
- Decreased flexibility and strength
- Repetitive injuries

The Olathe Health Rehabilitation Services Department offers the LSVT BIG and LOUD program with the focus on improvement of movement and voice in patients with Parkinson’s disease. There are LSVT-certified therapists in each discipline of Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech Therapy within Olathe Health.

Lymphedema is an abnormal accumulation of protein-rich fluid causing swelling (edema). Our specially-certified therapists provide treatment for patients with Lymphedema, including skin care and therapeutic exercises.
