Our team of multi-disciplined heart specialists collaborate to care for the unique needs of each patient. The team includes Cardiologists, Cardiothoracic Surgeons, Vascular Surgeons, Interventional Cardiologists, specialists in congenital heart defects, heart failure, heart rhythm disorders, valve disorders, Physician Assistants and Certified Nurse Practitioners. All of our surgeons are board certified and most are fellowship-trained, meaning these doctors have additional training in state-of-the-art techniques in their subspecialties.
Eighty-five percent of heart damage occurs within the first two hours of a heart attack, which is why Olathe Health care teams are on alert to quickly recognize the signs and treat patients as quickly as possible. As an Accredited Chest Pain Center (CPC), Olathe Medical Center has a dedicated STEMI team prepared to diagnose and if necessary take patients to the cath lab within minutes to treat blockages and open affected arteries.

Caring for heart patients doesn’t end with surgical intervention and other medical treatment. After a heart attack or surgery, many patients are prescribed cardiac rehabilitation at Olathe Medical Center, designed to help patients with heart disease return to productive lives. The program includes healthy lifestyle education, a closely monitored exercise program, diet and nutrition counseling, and plenty of encouragement and support.
